How to Enrich SCCM while Creating an HR-Geo Mashup

Business decisions rely on context and relevance. A list of software installations, patches deployed or hardware models provides little actionable information for business decision makers. The information – even when clarified by normalization – must be presented in the context of cost, risk and benefit to actually drive action.
In this webcast, you will learn how modern cataloging technology can enrich your SCCM data and elevate the value of SCCM to the boardroom.

  • See how to automatically providing context to normalized data increases the value of SCCM data
  • Learn how normalizing can easily be integrated with existing internal systems to support relevant decision making
  • Hear from John Nelson, President, Minnesota System Center User Group, on the value of analyzed SCCM information to business decision makers and how they are using it help drive corporate initiatives.
WHEN: Tuesday, March 15, 2011
TIME: 10:00am Pacific / 1:00pm Eastern
SPEAKER: Walker White, CTO, BDNA & John Nelson, President, Minnesota System Center User Group

28 February 11 02:08 PM | rodtrent | with no comments

After updating to Acrobat 9.4.2, one of the following occurs when you print to a printer from Acrobat:

  • Error: "Before you can perform print-related tasks such as page setup or printing a document, you need to install a printer."
  • Nothing happens when you click the OK button in the Print dialog. For example, no progress bar appears and nothing is printed.

24 February 11 08:43 AM | rodtrent | with no comments

myITforum.com will be helping manage the Community Lounge at MMS 2011 this year.  We’re still hashing out the details right now, but this is an exciting opportunity for the community to have a place at MMS to connect (well, other than our booth).

More to come on this.  We’ll be sending out our yearly MMS-special newsletter soon to update you on all the myITforum.com at MMS madness.

The MMS bounce #mms2011
24 February 11 08:22 AM | rodtrent | with no comments

Each year the Microsoft Management Summit generates a slew of new activity on myITforum.com.  We’re always ready and prepared as we see traffic numbers rise.  The increase in traffic gives us (and Microsoft) a good indicator of how well received the conference really is for a given year.  However, this year is definitely the most pre-MMS traffic we have ever seen.  Traffic has risen 130% this month.  This is an amazing indication that this year’s conference will be a complete success and that System Center is steadily climbing into the forefront of systems management!

If you’ve not registered yet, I suggest you do so quickly, as time is running out!
