The MMS 2010 DVD – how DVD production became faster than email #mms2010

So, funny stuff.  My MMS 2010 DVD actually arrived this past Saturday, June 1st, 2010.  Not sure if I was the first to receive it, but this year’s distribution is definitely a record.  The MMS 2010 folks utilized better technology this year, along with a new company, so it looks like they made the right choice.

The funny part is that, yesterday, I received an email telling me that I would receive the MMS 2010 DVD in about 2 weeks.  So, either my DVD was sitting in a time warp, the postal service has made some serious improvements to their delivery processes, or, maybe next year the MMS crew needs to also change the email facilities to match this year’s stellar DVD production experience.

The email I received yesterday:

Dear MMS 2010 Attendee,

This e-mail serves as confirmation that your MMS 2010 DVD set has been shipped and you should be receiving it within 1-2 weeks (International locations may take longer).  The DVD set has been sent via the U.S. Postal Service to the address included with your registration information.  

If you do not receive your DVD set within the specified time, please e-mail MMS2010DVD@paragongroup.com for further assistance.
