Madison’s Trent breaks 45-year-old school record
Some more Track and Field love. Alex makes the front page of the local newspaper's web site:

Now, I’m going to have to run out and pick up the actual newspaper because you know it has to be in there.
I wasn’t able to attend the track meet last night due to finishing up stuff for MMS 2009, but Meg was there. Said the announcer had everyone in the stadium stand up, and then announced the new record. Pretty cool!
Its the way it happens for me. It seems Alex does things like this on the times when I have to miss. During basketball season, he dunks in the game where it was the only game I missed. Arrggghh! I joked with him last night saying that I need to stay away from his sports activities because he does so much better when I’m not there.

Madison High School’s Alex Trent set a new school record in the 200-meter dash with a time of 22.35 seconds at the Waynesville Invitational Friday night, April 24.
His time broke a 45-year-old mark of 22.6 seconds set by Alan Daniel in 1964. The record was tied by Jim Cox in 1971 and tied again by Tony Cox in 1976.
It was the longest standing record at Madison. Trent also won the 400 dash in 49.78 seconds at the meet.
