You have to wonder…

On Twitter, there’s a thing called “Retweeting”, where you simply restate something someone already posted about.  Its a great way to spread a message or article across the Twitterverse and still give attribution to the original poster.

What struck me as funny this morning, is that there’s not such thing in place for news, articles, and blog posts on myITforum.com.  Since I watch different communities across the web, particularly those with System Center themes, I see an interesting trend.  Soon after a news item (original to myITforum.com) is posted, you see it quickly reposted at other community sites – except that there is usually not attribution given to the source.

So, it makes you wonder if myITforum.com suddenly dried up, would any news about System Center products ever get out into the mainstream?   Would MMS be an unknown conference?  Would other community sites, bloggers, etc., be forced to find ways of getting their own news?

Just some things to think about, but it does make you wonder…

Maybe add a "blog this" link with options to open various blog services "post" forms?  Just thinking out loud.  Not a 100 percent solution, but it might make it easier to re-post with attribution.  Just a thought.
