I thought Apple was all about intuitive and sleek interfaces. What happened to Quicktime?
yep that interface blows. When I'm packaging Quicktime for deployment I set it to turn that interface off.
For your own machine, select Edit - > Preferences -> Player Preferences. Uncheck Show Content Guide at Startup. (close QT and reopen).
For mass deployment, you need to take the config file from that computer and copy it to the installed computer.
I'm thinking of trying to get it removed from corproate machines because a) it has a lot of vulnerabilities so there are frequesnt updates b) we dont use qt internally c) its rarely needed for anything on the interet anyway.
