Anyway, here is another possible solution to the problem:

You could have also done some coding that pulls in the current advert information and places in entry in HKLM\Software\Microsoft\SMS\Mobile Client\Software Distribution\Execution History\System\xxxxxxxx

This would keep the program from re-running and could be added to your task sequence pretty easily.
