A new PC day

Well...if you've been watching my blog, you saw some posts a day or so ago about my PC locking up.  Today was worse.  It ended up that my hard drive was overheating and locking up.  The PC wouldn't run for more than a half hour before it locked up completely again and again.  I purchased that computer just over a year ago, so the warranty is up (since when did computers become throw-aways?).

So, I jumped in the car today and purchased a new computer from Circuit City.  I'll throw up some pics and info about it later, because I'm now embroiled in the PC switch.  I always dread having to switch PCs.  It takes about an entire day to get it just right, and then another couple weeks to catch the things you missed.

BTW: I'm extremely impressed with Windows Live Onecare's backup and restore ability.  I backup regularly to a thumb drive using Onecare, when it yells at me once every couple weeks.  Today, I was able to test the restore feature.  Worked like a dream.  More on that later, too.

Also, while I've loaded BlogJet already on the new computer, I'm using Windows LiveWriter for this post.  I'm giving it another whirl.
