SoftGrid Migration Tool 1.1

The SoftGrid Migration Tool is an add-on for the native SoftGrid Sequencer created by Dennis Damen & Rodney Medina.

The purpose of the SoftGrid Migration Tool is to help you “convert” existing automated application setups to SoftGrid Virtualized Applications (aka streams or sequences) with the least possible amount of user intervention. Freeware!

Version 1.1 has the following new features added since 1.0.1

  • Support for SoftGrid 4.5 Sequencer Beta
  • Support for new Command Line Sequencer options; Compression, Block Size and save as MSI (only available when using SoftGrid 4.5)
  • Ability to set RTSP, RTSPS and Port Number from the SGMT
  • Ability to set Windows 2008 Server and Windows 2008 Terminal Server as supported OS during Sequencing (only available when using SoftGrid 4.5)

Fixes in version 1.1

  • The automatic population of the Relative path to the SFT file was not always correct. This is fixed.

SoftGrid OSD Editor 2.1

SoftGrid OSD file editing is now easy!! NEW version 2.1!

The SoftGrid OSD Editor is a GUI tool that allows you to open an existing SoftGrid OSD file and edit it. All the possible categories are read from the SoftGrid OSD file and displayed in the appropriate tab. You can insert and/or delete values from the OSD as you like. So you don't have to worry and opening and closing tags or anything like that any more. There are however some fields you can not edit with the OSD Editor. This is by design: these are fields that should never be edited like for example the GUID of the sequence. Additionally, the SoftGrid OSD Editor also educates you on the meaning of some of the XML tags that can be used in SoftGrid OSD files.

What's new in v2.1?

We have added Microsoft Application Virtualization (SoftGrid) 4.5 support. One of the major new features in Microsoft Application Virtualization 4.5 is Dynamic Suiting Composition. Dynamic Suiting makes it possible for virtual applications to interact with each other.

So the main new feature of the SoftGrid OSD Editor is Dynamic Suiting Composition Support which allows you to easily Add the Dynamic Suiting tags into the SoftGrid OSD file. Just Search for SoftGrid OSD files on the Content Share and add them!
