Where's my 32-bit control panel apps?

Published 24 December 07 08:28 AM | rodtrent

If you’re running a 64bit version of Windows Vista, you may be hard pressed to find icons in Control Panel for your 32bit applications.  Where once you could easily find icons for things like Quicktime, Java, or Mail, they are now tucked away in their own, personal Control Panel.  To find them, open up the Windows Vista 64bit control panel and look for the “View 32–bit Control Panel Items” icon and open it up.

A new Control Panel window will open, revealing the 32–bit application icons you might think had gone the way of Windows XP.
