Is DHL the worst delivery company out there?

I think so.  At least, they are in my area.

They delivered my new Microsoft MVP kit today.  I saw them pull up.  Waited by the front door for them to ring the doorbell.  Instead of seeing a DHL delivery man walk to my door, I watched him stop just before the porch and fling the package in the air for about 8 feet to my front doorstep.  The package thumped and then skidded across the porch.

I opened the door and jumped outside, picked up the package as he was turning the corner out of site.  I said, “Hope it wasn’t breakable.”  …no response.

I watched the DHL van pull away.  I made quick notice of the delivery man.  He looked like he was in his twenties, hadn’t shaved for 3 days, and was lighting up, probably, his 8th cigarette in an hour.

This isn’t the first time DHL has pulled stunts like that.  If DHL is involved in a delivery, we regularly have to walk the perimeter of the property to see where they left their latest delivery.  Sometimes it’s at the garage door.  Sometimes it’s on the porch.  We’ve even had one instance where it was behind one of our bushes.  Ridiculous.

Both FedEx and UPS are professional, walk to the door, say “Hi” and hand you your package.  And, they look like they bathe regularly.
