Haute Secure installed -- it blocks Google and Blogger

Published 02 August 07 12:11 PM | rodtrent

Despite the annoyance of having to reboot after installing Haute Secure (at least the installation apologized for having to reboot — seriously, it did) it seems to work pretty well.  Upon reboot and jumping straight out the Internet, I hit a blog site.  Haute Secure blocked some content: one for googlesyndication.com, and the other was from Blogger.com.

Hmmm…does Huate Secure believe that Google is a major offender?

There is some rationale for blocking googlesyndication.

googlesyndication.com has offered third party ads that used malicious code. I believe they vet their advertisers, but at least a couple of cases have escaped review. When brought to the attention of googlesyndication, the ads weren't seen again.
