Alex Trent - the SWBL 400m Champion and Meet Record Holder

Despite his pinkie toe splitting yesterday, Alex held on to win the 400m to become the Southwestern Buckeye League Champion.  He also broke the meet record which was set last year by a senior.

Districts start this Thursday.  Alex’s coach said they take the top 4 in Districts to the Regionals.  Then the top 4 from there to the State Championships.  God willing, we could be in for a long ride.

Alex’s time yesterday was a little slower than normal in the 400m.  He won with a time of 51.02, yet still set the meet record.  What’s cool is that when they pass out the meet programs at next year’s event, his name will be listed as the record holder for the event.  I can’t wait to get hold of that little piece of memorabilia.

More on this later…it’s Mother’s Day and I can’t be away for more than a couple minutes. Good thing I’m a fast typist.
