Funny stuff...
The software we use for the myITforum Wiki has a function in the Admin side of things that checks to see how long the service has been running. Here’s exactly what it says right now:
===============
Wiki Version: 2.0.4 (Your Wiki is up-to-date)
Server Uptime: 10d 8h 58m 19s (may be inaccurate)
===============
Isn’t it interesting that a feature would actually say “may be inaccurate”? Why would you even include the feature if you didn’t have faith in the feature?
Well, I’m glad they actually say that it “may be inaccurate” because I know it’s inaccurate. The myITforum web server was rebooted a couple days ago.
Maybe Microsoft should start using this statement on their progress bar components. The progress bar in Windows has always lied. Windows Vista does a much better job of relaying the time until completion on commands and software installations, but it’s still off by a bit.
