TALKr acquired by LiveOnTheNet
This is Chris Brooks from Talkr.com, and I am writing with an important announcement about Talkr and your Talkr Partners account. I have been running Talkr by myself for the past two years. Although I'm proud of Talkr's functionality and its growth, I realized at the end of last year that I would not be able to take Talkr to the next level alone. I put Talkr up for sale in January, and am proud to announce that LiveOnTheNet.com (LOTN) acquired Talkr in February.
LOTN has an impressive history in delivering audio and video content over the internet. They launched their first webcasts in 1996, and have moved aggressively into VOIP since 2005. They have some exciting plans for the integration of Talkr and VOIP -- but I'm going to let them announce those plans as they unfold.
What does this mean for you?
This announcement means that you can count on three things:
- Talkr is here to stay and will continue to make it easy for people to listen to your blog.
- Talkr's current functionality is just the beginning: LOTN will greatly expand that functionality in the months to come.
- LOTN has a long history of matching advertisers and sponsors to their webcasts. If you're interested in making money with your blog, there's never been a better time to use Talkr.
