Symantac once again blasts Windows Vista to sell product

Symantec has spent the majority of their time, the last couple weeks, blasting Windows Vista security.  Of course, if Windows Vista and Microsoft security succeeds, folks will realize they don’t need Symantec products anymore.  If you watch the different communities of IT folks, a lot of folks realize it already.

Symantec’s “noise” is reminiscent of Scott McNealy of Sun when he couldn’t do anything but blast Microsoft in public.  Where’s McNealy now?  Where’s Sun? McNealy was so intent on beating Microsoft it drove him nuts.  He took Sun down a dark path and they’ve yet to recover.

Will Symantec stop before they face the fate of McNealy?  We’ll see…
