Altiris Adds Linux Patch Management
Salt Lake City, Utah-based Altiris said today that it has added new Linux patch and virtual server management capabilities to its Altiris Server Management Suite. The new Linux patch management support in its software includes new support for Red Hat Enterprise Linux, and VMware Virtual Server software, specifically for VMware ESX and GSX Server. Altiris also said that it is has added support for performance and fault monitoring for Microsoft Exchange Server and Microsoft SQL Server, along with server application inventory features.
