Soapbox on MSN beta starts today

Microsoft’s answer to YouTube (err, GoogleTube) starts in beta today.  From a Microsoft email:

It's time to tune in. We'd like you to try MSN's new user-uploaded video service we're calling Soapbox on MSN Video. Before we take the service to prime time we're looking for beta testers who are into watching and uploading videos to help us put the service to the test.

Here are some of the cool things you can do with Soapbox:

  • Easily upload videos in almost any format-like from your video camera
  • Tag and categorize your videos to make it easy for other people to find them
  • Watch original videos and browse for new ones at the same time
  • Set up RSS feeds for everything that interests you
  • Embed videos in your blog, and e-mail links to your favorite videos

What do we want you to do?

Upload your videos. Tell us what you think. Tell us what we can do to make it better.

What's in it for you?

You get to tell your friends you helped build Soapbox by sending us your feedback and discovering undocumented surprises (sometimes called 'bugs').  You'll be able to get your videos in front of a potential audience of millions of people.
