3 days -- about 10 add-ons, and Firefox is working the way I want it to
OK…what does a busy person do, who wants to upgrade to Firefox 2.0 and have it work the way they want? They download and install the new version one free night, and then spend the rest of the time, grasping for more free time just to download and install Firefox add-ons.
Why is it? It seems that you have to download add-ons to make Firefox 2.0 work like IE7 — or, like you’re used to working with the Internet. Shouldn’t that be the other way around? Did MS get it right this time?
Here’s what the Firefox home page has to say:
“Personalize Your Browser
Choose from over a thousand useful add-ons that enhance Firefox. It’s easy to personalize Firefox to make it your own.”
Frankly, my own browser works the way I’m used to right after installation.
