Interesting stuff. I talked to (not mentioning the name) today at Cingular. It was recorded anyway, but this person didn’t care about losing the job because this person didn’t agree with Cingular’s practices. Anyway, I’ve called for the past 3 months to get my phone and service refunded because Cingular’s service simply didn’t work in my area. You’ve probably read the previous posts. Once, Cingular service told me to get in my car and travel about 2 miles and I would have perfect service. OK, that’s cool — but who wants to waste gas these days just to make a cellular call?
In the past 3 months I’ve called and indicated that the first person I talked to about returning the phone, indicated that the phone would be refunded. Since then, each additional person I talked to said those notes were NOT in the system. Well, today, this disgruntled employee found the notes pretty dang easily, and told me that it was there as clear as day. Each person I talked to in the past 3 months *somehow* couldn’t find this note. So, now, I’m still stuck with this phone, but I can take it up with the Complaint office in Springfield, IL. If you want to complain about a Cingular outage, feel free. Here’s the address:

Hey, Cingular! I’m going to be the boil on your posterior until you get this fixed. You want me to name names, just drop me an email: rtrent@cinci.rr.com
There needs to be a lemon law created for cellular services.

All I can say, is don’t choose Cingular if it doesn’t work in your area. They told me it would work fine during the original contact. These folks are hard to deal with. Basically, I’m getting my original phone back, even though it doesn’t work at my house. They told me I could sell it on eBay if it doesn’t work. What the—???
I’m getting ready to call them to get their Lemon Law phone number, but I really doubt they have one.

The U.S. department of Energy wants to you complain (chimp) about it. Go here and lodge your complaint.

From what I’ve heard on the news this week, higher prices for gas should not be happening. If you see it, report it.

Mr. Gormly has invited our family to his house for a cookout this weekend. Can’t wait! I’ll let you know if I singe my eyebrows on the grill or not (that’s a long story).
As some of you know, John was my boss in another life, but we’ve kept in touch — and he’s a great friend.

They aren’t up to the task here…let’s hope they do a much better job for the Katrina victims.
T-Mobile Opens Wi-Fi to Katrina Victims
Sorry, to be so cynical about this, but the T-Mobile network is horrid. Let’s hope they do a great job for the Katrina victims.
