Windows IT Pro site wants you to pay to see about new security vulnerabilities.

What kind of hooey is this?  I received a feed from Windows IT Pro, clicked on it, and then was sent to a page that asked me if I wanted to sign up for paid content!!!!!!  Aw, man.  Things are out of control.  All I wanted to do was see about a new IE vulnerability, and Windows IT Pro gave me the run-around.  Of course, for Security vulns you can still always get from the Secunia.com RSS feed for free.  Thank, God for a free Internet!

Here’s the feed:  http://secunia.com/information_partner/anonymous/

You really do have to worry about this kind of thing.  If Windows IT Pro is pushing content in a paid model, you have to think they are either being greedy or are not doing so well as both an Internet property AND a magazine (methinks it’s the latter).  If you’ve seen the small size of their magazines and the lack of real technical content, lately, you might agree with me.

It might be time to stick them on the back-burner until they can get this fixed.
