I am Kung Fu Master.

I like to be in control of myself. I dislike crowds, especially crowds containing people trying to kill me. Even though I always win, I prefer to avoid fights if possible.

  • InfoWorld: What future is in store for Microsoft?

Over on the InfoWorld website (Galen Gruman), they have put together a bunch of predictions, on how Microsoft will fair over the next decade. Made for some fun, interesting, but sometimes gloomy reading, check it out

Five futures, from terrible to great
Given the state of Microsoft and the clear trends emerging, InfoWorld has envisioned five futures for Microsoft, from worst to best, from the vantage point of 2018. See which you agree with:

    The "Borvell" scenario
    The "slow decline" scenario
    The "streaming" scenario
    The "Oort services" scenario
    The "Gates was right" scenario

"Gates was right" scenario, had me in stitches ... gates occassionally finishing with ". Idiots", classic!

  • Happy Xmas!

Well, folks, it's almost that time of the year again. Were we loose a few pounds, and gain a few pounds, but in all the wrong places!

On behalf of WMUG, and myself personally, I wanted to take the opportunity to wish you all a great Xmas, and hope you have a really good New Year!

I seem to have lost my blogging mojo in December, not much activity from little old me, perhaps i'll find it in my Xmas Stocking!

Ho Ho Ho and Merry Xmas :-)

Hope you get lots of Gift

  • Microsoft SharedView

I used this today, would recommend it for simple remote control, chat, and file transfer.

    Download SharedView

Microsoft SharedView is a fast, easy way to share documents and screen views with small groups of friends or coworkers; anytime, anywhere. Use SharedView to put your heads together and collaborate - create, convey, and communicate…across physical boundaries, through firewalls, and down to the smallest details.

    Here's the FAQ

  • Back from holiday!

Refreshed, and ready to roll, after a great one week wreck\reef live-aboard diving holiday in the Northern Red Sea (Egypt). Departed from Hurghada, and spent best part of 5 whole days just diving and diving and diving!

I used a company called Blue O Two, and was on one of their luxury vessels the Blue Melody. Great diving guides, Karen and Kevin (thanks!), friendly staff and a great cook (Tuts trot\The belly didn't manifest amongst any of us, good clean food!)

Afraid I did not buy an underwater camera, so no pictures from me. However the Dive club I use (Dive Wimbledon) will no doubt be propping pictures and videos from the others onboard (23 divers in total) on their website over the coming weeks.

If you've got a penchant for diving, perhaps done your PADI Open Water Diver, then i'd definately recommend either taking your PADI Advanced Open Water Diver course while out on the Live-Aboard, or get skilled up before leaving with AOWD and then take the Wreck diving course while you're out there, then you can pretty much just focus entirely on getting in as much diving as possible, and not be tethered to an Instructor as your Buddy for the whole holiday. Awesome experience.

I'm currently one of the UK governments unemployed statistics, with plenty of time over the next week or two to churn out some content covering off ConfigMgr features. First to go will be a write-up on where I was just working ... so stay tuned
