The "wake on LAN" feature does not work as expected if a site server uses a non-daylight saving time zone in System Center Configuration Manager 2007
SYMPTOMS
Consider the following scenario:
•
The "wake on LAN" (WOL) feature is enabled on a Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager 2007 site server.
•
Daylight saving time is not used in the current time zone of the site server.
In this scenario, the WOL feature does not work as expected. The WOL manager cannot wake up clients to install required software updates or to run mandatory advertisements.

RESOLUTION
Hotfix information
A supported hotfix is now available from Microsoft. However, this hotfix is intended to correct only the problem that is described in this article. Apply this hotfix only to systems that are experiencing this specific problem. This hotfix might receive additional testing. Therefore, if you are not severely affected by this problem, we recommend that you wait for the next System Center Configuration Manager 2007 service pack that contains this hotfix.
