Why hasn’t anyone invented a callerID that you can call and get who has called you remotely?

For example, say I’m at work and I want to know if someone has called my house but didn’t leave a message on my machine.

My answering machine has a way to check messages remotely…why don’t caller IDs?

Maybe I need to invent this…

I have ATT Voip and it lists all the people's numbers who call. I can check from anywhere this list anytime. Link

That is what all CallerIDs need.

Maybe when the VoIP phones take over we will have this option Link

I run my business entirely off VoIP systems and when I get a call it pops up an app with the callers address (taken from my customers database) before I answer and gets written to a database which I can read from a webpage.

VoIP takes normal phonelines and turns them into a fantastic tool! Link
