I got a post on my blog about someone that has a friend who works on the design team for the 2007, read the comment below:

"i have friend on design team for the 2007 camaro......We will see it mid 07......3 types v-6 with monty ss motor....sorry no stick in that one........rs/ss 6.0 425 horse......z-28 400 6sped or auto........and u can pick between 3 rear ends 4.10 3.70 3.55 .....gto will follow with a judge 6.0 425 or just gto 6.0 400 like they have now.....and u can pick 3 different ends........it will have 67 and 69 camaro looks.....67 front and 69 rear.......u can get 2 over the top strips or hocky stick strips on side.....when i know more i will add.....what he told me and super chevy show just 2 weeks ago......i am big maro guy i own 67 rs 68 ss 69 ss........things he told me this car going be ill.....real bad ass......i cant wait to getback to maro stang wars again..... "

Now, I have not confirmed or denied this remark...but it sounds like the new Camaro will make it in 2007, but it will be a 2008 model year.

So in summary

V6 Model

RS/SS Model - 6.0 - 425 HP

Z28 Model - 6.0 - 400 HP (Auto/Manual)

I was at a Ford dealership a year ago helping a friend purchase a car. one of the sales manager there said they also own a chevy lot and they are definantly looking at releasing the camaro again starting sometime in 07. this is just what i heard! Link
