MMS - Clarification
I feel that I need to clarify something that Rod Trent posted on his blog.

"OK — so you know about me being a fan of William Shatner. Ron Crumbaker talked Paul Thompson into telling me that Shatner was in the Casino doing a Priceline commercial with Leonard Nimoy. Thinking about it, I think it was probably Chris Mosby who was the mastermind behind it all (I’m on to you, Chris!). Anyway, Paul comes up to me during the party, tells me about Shatner being there, and I’m about ready to dash to find him. Luckily, I asked Paul too many questions and he caved. Classic joke, but Paul could not pull it off after interrogation.
There’s a back story to this, though, which I should share — the story made me think Shatner was really there. Martin Dey and I had planned to contact the Shatner crowd a couple months ago to get him to MMS as the “personality in the crowd” for the closing party. There was a good chance that Shatner would actually be here. I followed up a couple weeks later to find that the Shatner folks never replied back to Martin’s query. So — I’m thinking that Martin was just trying to surprise me with Shatner’s presence at MMS. So, you can see how I was completely taken with the fact that Mosby had seen Shatner in the Mandalay Bay casino.

I just want to ensure EVERYONE...We HAD Rod so good it wasn't funny. Both Meg and Rod were about to die because of the news.
The whole story is Mosby and I were talking about the Shatner thing and wondering if Shatner was really going to show up. So I went up to Rod and said "Mosby saw Shatner today in the lobby." This was hook number 1. Rod was like "No way...really", so the stage was set. Then about an hour later, Mosby went up to Rod and said "Someone told me they saw Shatner in the Lobby today" Thus Hook number 2 was set and we were reeling Rod in for the catch/kill.
Then about an hour later, I got Henry to go over to Rod and start talking...then sent Paul T over for the kill. You should of seen Rod and Meg's reaction. It was classic. Rod took two steps back and Meg's eyes were HUGE. I was almost on the floor laughing so hard. It was classic!!
I did not prepare Henry and Paul enough for the interrogation that Rod and Meg began and they couldn't handle it and broke down laughing.
We did not "ALMOST Had" Rod...we HAD Rod and Meg hook, line, and sinker!!
