Today's Event - TechNet Webcast: Managing Virtualization with System Center Virtual Machine Mgr
In this webcast, we describe how the Microsoft System Center products can help you manage a virtualized data center. We explore the features and benefits of using Microsoft System Center Virtual Machine Manager 2007 and Microsoft System Center Operations Manager 2007 with the Microsoft Virtual Server 2005 R2 Service Pack 1 (SP1) environment. We discuss the Microsoft virtualization management strategy, along with various usage scenarios for System Center Virtual Machine Manager 2007 and System Center Operations Manager 2007. This technical session also includes demonstrations of advanced System Center Virtual Machine Manager 2007 functions, such as physical to virtual (P2V) and virtual to virtual (V2V), and how System Center Operations Manager 2007 manages virtual machines.
Presenter: Edwin Yuen, Technical Product Manager, Microsoft Corporation
Edwin Yuen is the technical product manager in the Windows Enterprise Management division for Microsoft System Center Virtual Machine Manager. Edwin came to Microsoft with the July 2006 acquisition of Softricity. Prior to joining Microsoft, Edwin was a services engagement manager for Softricity for six years, leading most of the initial Softricity implementations. Edwin has 13 years of technical consulting experience in both the commercial and federal space, and he holds a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering from Johns Hopkins University.
