I upgraded to Windows Media Player 10 awhile ago, but I did not try to sync content to my Pocket PC. Well, I bought a new Pocket PC phone and tried to sync content to it. When I synced, I got the following message:
Windows Media Player cannot convert the file to the format required by the device.
What happened? Believe it or not, Windows Media Player 10 does not support synchronizing video content to a Pocket PC 2003 device.
If you want to move content to your Pocket PC device, you'll have to do it the old-fashioned way.
1. Start Microsoft Windows Explorer.
2. Drag and drop the content onto the Pocket PC device icon.
3. The content will copy and you'll be set.
Let's hope a future patch will make the Pocket PC work directly with the Media Player.
