    SCCM Installer / Technician II

    Role Summary

The qualified candidate for the SCCM installer/Technician II positions will require supporting the Project Manager by executing site specific implementation plans for the initial installation of SCCM at a variety of customer sites. In addition the installer must have the knowledge to recognize and troubleshoot issues that may arise during the initial installation of SCCM. This involves an understanding of ConfigMgr and how it operates, the ability to understand ConfigMgr logs and how to read them etc… The Installer’s primary objective will be to bring ConfigMgr to a functioning state, understands the different parts that make up ConfigMgr and can troubleshoot each failing portion. While there is a support structure in place for problem escalation, the support group will only be involved if the issue cannot be resolved by the installer.

    Suggested/Draft high level tasks

The Installer uses the Deployment Guide and SSIP to build out a set of ConfigMgr components making up a number of Primary Sites in a Unit of Deployment. The Installer must be able to determine success or failure of installation steps and diagnose and repair problems encountered.

    General Experience

Three to five years demonstrated performance installing, administering and troubleshooting SMS. This individual will have been trained in System Center Configuration Manager 2007, and experience with ConfigMgr is preferred.

    Education

Bachelor's degree or industry equivalent experience

    Location

Local customer sites / 100% travel / 2 weeks per Unit of Deployment

Must be U.S. citizen and able to be cleared for a clearance.
