It’s that time of year again where we sit back and reflect on the past year at myITforum.com, and plan for the coming year.
It’s been a great and fruitful year at myITforum.com. We’ve seen a lot of activity and growth. A few weeks ago, we had a 1,000,000 page view day, which is huge. But, all-in-all, the site has held up well averaging over 750,000 page views a day and over 47,000 visits a day. That’s pretty big considering our primary topics center around Microsoft’s System Center set of applications. We continue to branch out into other areas, but our mainstay is definitely System Center.
We’ve seen a lot of new things sprout at myITforum.com, such as the wildly popular myITforum.com TV, the myITforum.com Wiki, myITLive, and the myITforum.com FAQ service.
Here’s some stats to get you thinking about just how active and popular the site is, and how loyal the myITforum.com community is. And, hopefully, it will give you ideas about areas where you would like to get involved in 2008.
As you can see, that’s a lot of activity. — AND, that’s a lot of things that the myITforum.com staff has to manage during a given year. I’d like to thank everyone, the community, the myITforum.com staff, the myITforum.com Steering Committee, the myITforum.com Advisory Council, and our partners and vendors for their continuing contributions to this community. Without all of you, those numbers above would look pretty bleak.
As 2008 rolls around, look for more great things to come your way from myITforum.com. We have many new things planned, as well as, fresh, new updates to the old things you have come to love.
Thanks, folks! Have a great holiday and an awesome New Year. myITforum.com will be taking some time off in a few short days. We will be spending time with family and friends starting December 20th. What this means is that, while the site will remain active, the daily newsletter, and daily article posts will cease until January 3rd, 2008, when we return.
A few things will still proceed, though. The bi-weekly posts from the Microsoft crew for “Excerpts from the System Center Configuration Manager 2007 Administrator’s Companion” will still be active, as well as, the email discussion lists and forums.
With some of your working days coming to a close during the holidays, you might think about joining the myITforum.com Off-topic list for a couple weeks to enjoy some fun and holiday cheer. There’s always something going on over there, I’m sure everyone will be posting their holiday experiences in unique ways.
Also, spend some time getting ready for MMS 2008. We’re in the midst of planning the myITforum.com party at MMS 2008, so keep your eyes peeled about that.
So…if I don’t see you, I’ll see you.
Happy Holidays!
