Seeking an SMS Engineer/Administrator for 6+ month contract in Tampa, FL.

Must have SMS expertise and some Active Directory knowledge. Individual should understand SMS concepts and be able to troubleshoot/resolve application issues. Understand how SMS replicates data and monitor/validate application replication process completes. Understand how the SMS client gets installed and resolve potential client issues. Know how to remove and remotely upgrade the SMS desktop client.

Other Deployment responsibilities are:

• Targeting/Product Deployment
• SMS AD Group creations and AD User associations
• Status/Deployment Reports
• Manage SMS Distribution Points
• Application replication via SMS – Tiered Design
• Advertisement Monitoring
• Understand the SQL Backup/Restore process
• Responsible for SMS Share, AD File/Folder security
• Understand and support SMS D/R solution
• Use of ITMU to deliver OS/IE hotfixes to Win2k/WinXP desktops

Experience:

Must have 2-4 yrs general experience working with SMS.
Must have 1-3 yrs general experience working with Active Directory.
Must understand Application Deployment processes and procedures.
Must have basic knowledge of MSI technologies.
Individual must possess excellent communication, organization and interpersonal skills, and the ability to multi-task.
Basic scripting knowledge (VBScript, WinBatch) would be a plus.

Training/Certifications:

Microsoft SMS Training is a requirement, or equivalent experience supporting a SMS Infrastructure.
