Job Description:
MassMutual Desktop Support Services is currently seeking a self-directed, team
orientated individual, to play an integral role on the SDS (Software
Distribution Services) team. This individual would join a team of professionals
committed to providing effective, efficient methods for distributing software
throughout the MassMutual PC environment.
Job Responsibilities include (but not limited to):
•Deploy software to the enterprise PC environment via various distribution
packages such as SMS
•Coordinate and create SMS collections and advertisements
•Create software packages for distribution utilizing Wise and other packaging
tools used in the environment.
•Translate business needs into specifications and distribution plans
•Remotely install / uninstall software in the PC environment
•Perform/coordinate testing to ensure applications and updates are properly
packaged and pushed out to business partners in a timely manner
•Provide continuous input to the team on ways to improve interoperability and
performance
•Maintain workflow documentation and procedures
Desired qualifications:
•Knowledge of SMS (Microsoft System Management Server)
•Working knowledge of SMS, Wise and MSI
•Wise packaging experience
•Proficient knowledge and use of the SMS distribution process
•Ability to work independently
•Strong knowledge / experience with Software Distribution and deployment
•Excellent interpersonal skills and customer service skills
•Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
•Excellent written and verbal communication skills
•Highly organized / effective planning skills
Salary commensurate with experience
