JOB DESCRIPTION
Duties:-


The individual will be responsible for testing, piloting, patching and reporting on the patch status of all the workstations in the environment.
SMS 2003 will be the primary tool leveraged for patching workstations and reporting on patch status. Familiarity with SMS 2003,SUS, WUS, ITMU, DSUW, and MBSA will be essential.
The individual will research Microsoft security vulnerabilities and third party software security updates. Will be required to work and coordinate testing and piloting of newly released security updates.
The SMS patch management administrator will be responsible for troubleshooting and repairing broken SMS clients, installing clients where not found, and using SMS & SQL reporting to identify workstations that are missing security updates.
Skills:-
5 or more years experience working
4 or more years experience with patch management
Applicant must have limited experience with SQL
Excellent oral and written communication skills are essential
Applicant must be able to write custom scripts / programs on the fly
Applicant must be able to work independently, multitask, and prioritize projects appropriately.
Applicant will be required to maintain good documentation of standards and procedures
Education:-


Bachelor''s degree required in Computer Technology
