We have a huge need in Oak Brook, IL for a Senior Java Programmer/Analyst to act as the lead member of a team. The first project will be enhancing our current portal, content management, and document management systems as well as other J2EE web applications. Duties for this position will initially focus on a Lotus Domino upgrade and the reinstallation and modification of several Domino applications. Other duties will include code enhancement, development, application design, documentation, business requirements analysis, and testing. This individual must demonstrate flexibility, the ability to work under tight time pressure on multiple projects with limited supervision, and provide mentoring to junior developers on the team. The Senior Programmer/analyst position will need to get up-to-speed quickly, with limited assistance, so strong verbal and written communication skills are essential. This is a very exciting time for the company, with a lot of creative changes happening. We need high energy and strong multi-tasking skills in this team player! This position will begin consulting, but has great potential to go permanent!
Required Years Experience:
10+ overall IT experience
7+ application development and systems integration
3+ Lotus Domino development
5+ Object Oriented Programming; methodologies, analysis, and design
5+ Java Programming (J2EE – specifically Java, JDBC, Java Mail, Servlets, JSPs, EJBs,
JMS, and JCA
3+ Technical lead experience, mentoring junior developers
3+ WebSphere Portal 5.x & WebSphere Application Server 6.x
2+ Portlet Development
Other Requirements:
• Development experience in Portals and Content Management software/concepts (Day Communiqué experience is a big plus). Development must be based on Java Platform.
• HTML/DHTML/JavaScript (minimum 4 years)
• XML development (minimum 3 years)
• Application architecture/frameworks/design patterns experience (minimum 3 years)
• Strong understanding of business processes
*Any experience in Day Communique, WebSphere Business Integration System Tools, Tivoli Access Manager, Apache Web Server administration, iPlanet Web Server administration, Sun Java Certification is Preferred.
