UNIX Operations Specialist with an International Music Company, Fishers, Indiana, 46037

Currently we have an opening for an UNIX Operations Specialist with a major Music Company at one of its locations in Fishers, Indiana, 46037.  This is a contract position.  Please review the job description below and if you find it a good match, send your resume in Word format along with a daytime phone number and I will contact you upon receipt of your resume.

       Location:   Fishers, IN, 46037
       Job Type:  Contract (6 to 9 months)
       Start Date: Immediately
      Skills Required: UNIX,

Job Description:

Should understand how system and application backups are performed in a UNIX environment and has developed disaster recovery plans for UNIX and has managed disaster recovery exercises.
Should know how to use UNIX utilities to generate tape library reports, validate tape data, and test database restores
This person knows how to logon to a UNIX system and perform basic commands and navigate the system, and understands how to use UNIX system commands to validate application availability and overall system performance.
Ideally, this person should know the basics of Tivoli Storage Manager from an operational viewpoint
May have some experience as a systems administrator, but does not need strong technical skills and will not be performing system administration
The perfect candidate would have 5 to 8 years experience in a data center environment with a large Unix or AIX workload

Additional information:
v     Estimated contract duration of  6-9 months
v     Must be able to work in Fishers, Indiana, 3 weeks out of the month
v     Prefer candidate from Indianapolis or the mid-west
