We are looking for a Microsoft SMS Packager that will create application installation packages to be deployed to managed workstations and servers. The candidate must be able to troubleshoot SMS installation issues of the application packages, and develop best practices around software packaging, application deployment, and custom development in support of the application packages.

• Experience with multi-site, large environment application package deployments.
• 5 years in depth experience with SMS 2003, Microsoft Windows Server 2003, and Windows XP Professional. Vista experience a plus.
• A thorough understanding of Windows Installer technology, application packaging, authoring, and MSI editing such as Wise, InstallShield, and the SMS Installer.
• Must have experience and working knowledge of multiple packaging and deployment applications, and distribution methods.
• In depth knowledge of Microsoft scripting technologies and components: Shell, VB Script, WMI, .NET, XML, etc.
• Excellent troubleshooting abilities and methodology.
• Ability to quickly learn new applications and new technologies.
• Strong understanding of project, software development, and systems management methodologies.
• Excellent communication skills including both oral and written skill sets.
• Strong process documentation background.
• MCAD certification a plus.
