This is a contract to perm position Please see the enclosed job description: RESPONSIBILITIES: Develop and implement a global technology strategy for the company, particularly in area of
online gameplay and distribution.
Responsible for implementing an overall strategic technical plan to achieve the company’s goal as an online leader in the console and handheld game space.
Work with World Wide Production teams, Technical Directors, Marketing, and Sales to develop and implement next generation online strategy.
Act as company’s representative who understands all of the online technical requirements for our upcoming titles.
Develop an understanding and relationship with online middleware suppliers.
Develop relationships with other divisions to implement a collaborative online community leveraging existing technology.
Work with internal and external development teams on the innovation of our
online gaming experiences.
Planning and supporting the necessary infrastructure in terms of hardware, connectivity planning, and customer support services.
Provides guidance, direction and feedback to the technical staff for performance and code review
REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS: Minimum of 3 years of game development experience in hands-on technical role within the games industry.
Ability to create and evaluate development plans.
Ability to build project schedules in MS Project and Excel.
Excellent knowledge of
C, C++ and Java, with a specialization in
Internet technologies. At least 1 online game as a principal technology strategist working with production teams at the studio or publisher level to define and own the online features or game online engine.
Experience on
developing a common online engine used by multiple games is a plus.
Experience collaborating with multiple, geographically dispersed teams on a common technology development methodology.

EDUCATION REQUIRED: BS Degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering or equivalent combination of related experience and education.
