dperry@fortunoff.com Job Summary: (please summarize) Plan, order, install, configure, test, document and maintain all network devices including Windows Servers \ desktops hardware and software (Microsoft office suite of applications, other windows based applications including all patch and service pack levels). Develop, monitor and maintain the corporate email systems, SQL servers, user group security policies and active directory. Maintain inventory of all software licensing. Use network management tools to proactively monitor, trouble shoot and perform capacity planning of the systems described. Create and maintain disaster recovery plans. Recommend upgrades, patches, and cost saving solutions and alternatives. Provides technical support and guidance to users. Solid understanding of standards and best practices for all Microsoft based systems. Essential Functions and Responsibilities: (please be specific) 1. Spearhead ITMU patch management, OSD upgrade and Software pachade distribution using Microsoft SMS 2003. Organize, coordinate & maintain Microsoft OS and application environment. (Including Exchange 2003, SQL 200x, AD 2003 Group Policy, Windows 2000, XP and Server 2003 2. Design, plan, order, install, configure, test, document and maintain all network devices including Windows Servers\desktops hardware and software, routers, switches, hubs, firewalls, VPNs, DNS, DHCP and wireless Access Points 3. Install, modify and document HP and EMC Clarion SANs 4. On call nights and weekends Job Qualifications
and Experience: (please be specific) 1. 5 Years experience using Microsoft SMS including current 2003 version for ITMU patch management, OSD OS upgrades and software package distribution 2. 5 Years experience building stand alone and blade servers including installing and maintaining Windows Server 2003, SQL 200x, Exchange 2003, AD 2003 and group policy 3. Knowledge of Routers, Switches, VPNs, wireless 802.11* devices 4. Knowledge of HP and EMC SAN appliances 5. Knowledge of Apple MAC OS9/10 and hardware Knowledge and Skills: (please be specific) 1. A deep understanding of Microsoft System Administration and Microsoft suite of Operating Systems and Applications to pro-actively manage the Microsoft server and workstation environment of 1300 Microsoft nodes. This knowledge base must include SQL 200x, Exchange 2003, AD2003, group policy, DNS, DHCP, IIS and ISA Proxy Server. 2. A deep understanding and hands on experience using SMS 2003 for ITMU patch management, OSD desktop OS upgrades, and 3. Knowledge of Cisco and / or Nortel routers, switches and Cisco wireless access points to enable installation, maintenance and problem diagnosis and resolution. 4. Knowledge of HP and / or EMC SANs to enable installation, maintenance and problem diagnosis and resolution. 5. Ability to document technical schematics, procedures and infrastructures 6. Ability to work in a very high paced and changing retail environment
