SMS Administrator Urgently Needed in RI

perotsystems has an immediate opening for a skilled SMS Administrator in Woonsocket, RI.
 
Experience Required
3-5 yrs Systems Administrator experience with SMS including SMS2003/sp1 or later, supporting Windows 2000/2000 Server, Windows XP and Server2003 operating systems in the Advance Security model
 
Additional Skills Required

  • Basic skills and understanding of SQL query development and usage;  

  • Basic understanding of AD, GPO, DNS, DHCP and WINS;

  • 1-2 years demonstrated experience utilizing 3rd party tools integrated with SMS, including Wake-on-LAN integration using 1E’s SMSWakeup solution;

The successful candidate shall:
  • maintain the operational infrastructure; continually striving for client deployment at 100% of assigned systems;
  • be responsible for assessment, testing and deployment of monthly security updates to all clients, including the Wintel server farm ;
  • Manage 3rd party add-on UNIX client integration using eXc Software virtual agent technology (experience with eXc Software’s Sun Solaris Virtual Agent for SMS a significant plus)

System Hierarchy: 22 sites using one central/primary, and 22 secondaries; 15,000 clients (including multi-domain and workgroup systems)
 
Minimal Educational Experience: AS degree or equivalent work experience
