Responsibilities: The Information Security & Business Continuity Analyst develops and implements Information Systems security, including risk assessment, auditing, compliance, access control, and incident response. This position also develops and maintains business continuity/disaster recover (DR) plans for information technology and business units.
 
The specific skills expected of this candidate include:
• Provide technical analysis of information security requirements, administer and audit information security plans
• Performs operational tasks supporting intrusion detection, security incident response, security event log analysis, management reporting, virus prevention, and remediation functions
• Conduct internal IT risk assessments and implements safeguard recommendations
• Perform security configuration and security administration of networks, operating systems and applications
• Perform network, operating system, application vulnerability assessments and security configuration audits
• Support, maintain, monitor, troubleshoot and enhance security infrastructure tools, methodologies, software, and hardware • As a core member of the Corporate Information Management's security team, individual is expected to evaluate potential security threats and recommend corrective/preventative action
• Facilitate DR Planning and testing Communicate corrective trends and developments to Disaster Recovery team members and business units
• Coordinate the integration of business units' DR plans into the company's overall Disaster Recovery plan and strategies
• Coordinate and lead Mitretek company quarterly DR exercises, develop exercise recommendations, implement exercise findings, and update DR documentation  

Requirements:
• B.S in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
• 3+ years progressive experience including IT security and business continuity/disaster recovery
• 1+ year project coordination and facilitation experience
• Excellent writing and verbal communication, interpersonal skills, and proficiency with MS Office products (MS Project is a plus)
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills
• Excellent organizational skills
• Business Continuity, Disaster Recovery coordination experience is desired
• Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) and certification by Disaster Recovery Institute, International or equivalent (ABCP or CBCP) are preferred.
• Requires excellent writing and verbal communication skills and proficiency with MS office Products.
