I had the same message concerning compatibility but no issues continuing
with the install or using the GUI afterward in Vista.

I checked and I am using MOM 2005 SP1.
Still no luck with getting it to work. I get a window stating there are
compatibility issues and when I continue with the install it completes
successfully but the GUI's will not work.

Are you trying to install MOM2005 or MOM2005sp1? I couldn't use the
MOM2005 install but was able install with the MOM2005sp1 media.
