Subject: [msmom] RE: OpsMgr SDK Service stopping every 15 min

By the way – for those affected by this and still stuck on OpsMgr SP1 – this issue is exacerbated by letting your management group alerts run wild.  We generally see this in the worst run environments – when the alert count is extremely high.  It is generally in management groups where really old alerts are not closed out on a regular basis, alert repeat counts are really high, and alert retention is left at the default of 7 days.

You can really help with this issue by setting your console to “show all data” – then closing out the alerts with the super high repeat counts, closing out old alerts, tuning the alert generating rules, removing unused or unturned management packs, etc….   in addition to getting the private hotfix for the issue.

you should open a case with PSS on this specific console crash/exception.  There is a private hotfix that addresses this issue you can request.  Much of this issue was fixed in R2.
