Subject: [msmom] RE: selecting Agent instead of Windows server option
My recommendation is to create groups of ‘Windows Computer” objects for this, as most classes are contained by or have a relationship to Windows Computer. It is an excellent class of objects to use for creating groups for Overrides, Notifications, and scoping views.
For the majority of groups I work with – they contain only Windows Computer objects…. Or Windows Computer AND corresponding Health Service Watcher.
There are situations where we need to create instance specific groups… such as large logical disks, or all disks of drive letter C:, or all SQL databases with autogrow enabled, etc… but for the majority of general groups to use when enabling a disabled rule or monitor, I like to use groups of Windows Computer objects.

Subject: [msmom] FW: selecting Agent instead of Windows server option
When I am creating any new monitor or rule for few servers, I am creating the new group. In the process of creating the new group every time I am selecting the Agent from the search. Am I missing an configuration part for applying monitors, by selecting Agent instead of Windows server /windows server operating system option.
Many Thanks,
Narendra
