Subject: [msmom] Service Monitoring

I have a request to monitor the same service on two different physical nodes that are not clustered.    The service is available on both but only can run on one at a time.   Manual / deliberate failover scenario.

Has anyone had this adventure??

I was thinking of a "privileged" account to have a script run under that could check both servers since they are in the same domain.

other thoughts?  ideas ??

Thanks,

Bob
