The sampling rate varies by each collection rule. It appears that selecting different options will draw from tables/views with different aggregation levels. From looking at the StandardDatasetAggregation table, it looks that raw data is only kept for 10 days, and then you only have the option of the hourly or daily aggregation data sets, which just hold summary data.

How often the performance data being collected by SCOM 2007 SP1/R2? When I schedule a report to run it has an option to show the hourly graph. I am wondering how often the sampling is taking place. Thank you.
