Don’t ever “disable” from this menu.  From the “Override” option in the action pane – choose “Override the rule/monitor” and this will allow you to choose the MP.

NEVER choose “Disable the Rule” or monitor…. As this is forced into the default MP.

Subject: [msmom] disable/override from Active Alerts forced to default MP

I'm trying to set overrides/disable monitors for a specific object from the Active Alerts menu.  I'm right-clicking on a specific alert and choosing ovveride this monitor.  This automatically saves the override in the Default Management pack.  When I go back and edit, the MP area is grayed out.  As I understand best practices, custom overrides shouldn't be saved in the Default MP.  Is this normal / what is the best way to perform this task?
