There is a possibility of trying to change the regkeys remotely using WMI with either VBScript or PowerShell. Do you know if WMI is enabled to all of these systems?
I'm not sure what the regkeys are though, but they may be documented in the OpsMgr Unleashed book's appendix.

Does anybody know if there is a script already to change the management group that an agent is assigned with? I found out the server image team typo'ed the wrong management group name in the image, so new servers coming online are all unable to communicate. The image part is corrected but now the new servers to be re-assigned to the correct group now. There must be an easier way to do this that isn't coming to mind like changing the reg key or initiating a repair.
Thanks,
Troy
