Any update on this? I am running into a similar issue too. Did we open a ticket with dell? Thanks.

 

 

Interesting… Looks like the problem is that the DellStorageDiscovery.vbs script calls the omreport.exe utility, and in 5.5.0 that utility outputs 4 extra columns of data to the Storage{<guid>}.txt file.

 

The script is set to read the next line of the Storage.txt file, and tack it on to the end of the original line if it doesn’t get exactly 22 items. Since the following line is empty it fails out the script.

 

Anyone know if Dell is already aware of the issue?

 

Anyone out there using Dell 3.1 A01 (3.1.0.118) MP?

 The storage health isn’t being monitored on any of my servers running OMSA 5.5.0 (5.3.0 and 5.4.0 are working fine). It looks like I’m not the only one, judging by the comments on Kevin’s blog post about it (http://blogs.technet.com/kevinholman/archive/2008/08/11/updated-dell-mp-released-3-1-a01.aspx)

Just wondering if anyone has the quick fix before I start trying to track it down.
