We have both Veritas (5.0) and Windows 2003 server cluster nodes / resources. During our 4 maintenance waves each quarter, our team will work on 300 - 450 servers per wave. Paging that takes place during these waves is generally from the "active node" seeing the passive node go away or as we fail over to the node that just completed maintenance.
We are looking for a more efficient manner of putting both nodes and respective resources into maintenance mode as servers can switch waves due to customer needs. I am not finding any correlation in the OpsMgrDB tables that would keep a cluster resource and respective physical nodes together. Veritas cluster resources are not recognized yet (in version 5.1 or 5.2 I am hearing)
Outside of manually created lists, has anyone else came up with an automated way to suppress alerts from the cluster resources and respective nodes?
I think there is an INI file for the Veritas clusters that holds the node info and looking at how to read and use that information.
