SCSM 2010 - Configuration - Self Service Portal Requirements
Notes on installing the Self Service Portal for Service Manager:
If you've installed IIS 7.0 and try to run the SSP installation, non-met prerequisites will include: IIS 6.0 Metabase Compatibility role and ASP.NET 2.0. Here is where to find and how to install both of these components.
Open up the Server Manager console, espand Roles, and select Web Server (IIS). Scroll down to Role Services and click the Add Role Services link in the action pane. Expand Application Development and select ASP.NET. A dialog box will appear requesting to add the role services required by ASP.NET. Click the button labeled "Add Required Role Services" and they will auto-select in the Application Development menu.
Scroll down, find, and expand Managemement Tools, expand IIS 6 Management Compatibility and select IIS 6 Metabase Compatibility.
Click the Next button. A dialog box will appear which lists the features you have selected. Check these over to ensure they are correct. Click the Install button. You should receive an Installation succeeded notice. If not, check the problem, correct and repeat the process. Click the Close button.
Run the prerequisites check within the Self Service Portal Installation routine.
