About Kevin

So who is this Kevin Colby guy anyway you ask? I am an IT Generalist and have been since I disassembled and reassembled my trusty 8088 way back when it still ran all the latest and greatest software.  Professionally I've stuck fairly close to Windows Systems Administration and Systems Management in the bulk of my jobs.  I have however done routing and physical network infrastructure as well.  As a proper geeky systems administrator I believe any task that can be automated should be automated and that it's worth the time and effort to script something if you're going to have to do it more than twice.  Non-Professionally I've spent quite a bit of time administering Linux servers and the requisite LAMP stack, developing in PHP, Perl, TCL and playing with various Open Source Systems Management platforms.
